When customers are pricing up the cost of sending a parcel, probably the most important cost comparison will be against that of sending a parcel through the post office, on the Royal Mail’s Standard Parcel Service.

VAT is also not payable on any Royal Mail products.

A further advantage of using the Parcels Please service over that of the Post Office is that you’ve not got to take it anywhere, you can book the collection from anywhere suitable, it could be your home, your workplace, a neighbour or relative, or if you’re buying off ebay, even from the seller.  No having to cart a heavy parcel down the high street and stand in queues.

You can also make the booking when it’s convenient to you.  You making make the online booking a few days before you actually want the parcel collected, or you can make it late at night when you’ve got a quiet minute, instead of having to rush out in your lunchhour.
