Can I specify when I want delivery?

You can booked a timed parcel delivery service and this will ensure that the parcel will be delivered before a specified time.  At present none of the carriers that we use offer a service where you can specify either a morning or afternoon delivery.  If the parcel is not booked on a timed delivery service, then delivery can be anytime between 9am and 5.30pm.

Can you deliver parcels on a Saturday?

Our carriers offer Saturday delivery services, if you require a Saturday delivery please choose one of these specific services as the standard timed deliveries are only delivered on working days – Monday to Friday.  Redeliveries are not made on a Saturday either.  Saturday parcel deliveries are a good option if you need to get something to someone over a bank holiday weekend because they continue uninterupted by the bank holidays.

Do you deliver Parcels on a Bank Holiday?

Bank holidays are not working days for the parcel delivery depots.  Parcels are neither collected or delivered on a Bank holiday.  A parcel collected on the Friday prior to a bank holiday will be delivered the following Tuesday.  If you need to send something urgent we would recommend you look at the Saturday morning deliveries.

Please note though that some English Bank Holidays are not classed as Public Holidays in Scotland, and vice versa namely 31st August isn’t a holiday in Scotland, and 2nd January is a Public holiday in Scotland.  Also please bear in mind that there are local Scottish Public holidays.

What happens if i’m not in to take delivery?

All of the services that ParcelsPlease offers includes a number of redelivery attempts.  The parcel carrier will leave a card through your door they may deliver it to a neighbour, or they may take it back to the depot.  You can contact the depot to rearrange delivery for a suitable day.

However, one thing that always makes sense is if you check with the sender before booking the delivery.  If you are out at work during the day then perhaps delivery to a neighbour, or workplace or family member may make more sense.  If you know that you are in on certain days but not others then ask the retailer to deliver on the days that are most convenient.

My Parcel’s been delivered and the packaging looks damaged, I am worried that the contents may be damaged also?

If the packaging is opened, burst, or otherwise indicates that it is damaged then we recommend that you sign for the item as damaged.  If the internal contents of the parcel are also damaged we recommend that you follow our claims process.

My Parcel has been lost in Transit?

Please follow our claims process.

My parcel’s contents have been damaged in transit?

Providing that the contents of the parcel do not include any Hazardous, Prohibted items or other items outside the terms of insurance, please follow our claims process.

Can I ask the driver to leave the parcel in an outbuilding?

Unfortunately both UPS and Interlink need signatures for the delivery of a parcel, so no, they cannot leave a parcel, unsigned for, in an outbuilding, shed, garage etc, even with your prior permission.
