Packaging and Insurance for Booked Parcels.

You are making a booking on a parcel service, please take a minute to read through this information below to ensure that a parcel network is appropriate for your item.
- A Parcel network service is a conveyor service, parcels are sorted at hubs similar to an airport baggage handling system. All items should therefore be boxed, fully encased in cardboard, with no loose ends, plastic bags, or sticky out bits.
- The parcel conveyor service will be in the main automated, which means that machines can’t read. You cannot rely on “Fragile” or “This way up” labels. You need to ensure that your packaging is sufficient to protect your item. Never rely on labels.
- Your packaging needs to be sufficient to withstand a drop from approximately arms length. Packaging should always include padding between the item itself and exterior box, particularly if fragile.
- Glass is not insured. Please contact us for guidance if sending Pictures, Mirrors, TVs or monitors. Your item must not be listed as a prohibited or hazardous item. And please check that your item doesn’t fall outside of the terms of cover.
