You are making a booking on a parcel service, please take a minute to read through this information below to ensure that a parcel network is appropriate for your item.

  1. A Parcel network service is a conveyor service, parcels are sorted at hubs similar to an airport baggage handling system.  All items should therefore be boxed, no loose ends, plastic bags, or sticky out bits.
  1. The parcel conveyor service will be in the main automated, which means that machines can’t read.  You cannot rely on “Fragile” or “This way up” labels.  You need to ensure that your packaging is sufficient to protect your item.  Never rely on labels.
  1. Your packaging needs to be sufficient to withstand a drop from approximately arms length.  Packaging should always include padding between the item itself and exterior box, particularly if fragile.
  1. Glass is not insured.  Please contact us for guidance if sending Pictures, Mirrors, TVs or monitors. Your item must not be listed as a prohibited or hazardous item. And please check that your item doesn’t fall outside of the terms of insurance.
    Hazardous item
    Prohibited item
Outside terms of insurance (including personal effects).
  1. The standard insurance for UPS parcels is £60 per parcel, and for UK DPD/Interlink Express deliveries £12 per kilo.  For DPD European Deliveries then inclusive insurance is £100 per parcel..  It is your responsibility to take out additional insurance if your item is valued at more than this.  Neither the parcel carrier (Interlink or UPS) or ourselves will pay out compensation in excess of the insured amount for any claim under any circumstances.  You can add additional insurance as part of the booking process.
