No Scottish Parcel Surcharge
By using Interlink, we can offer the same cheap parcel rates to the whole of the UK mainland. Even if that means to top of Scotland. When you book on the Interlink services there is no Scottish Parcel surcharge for any mainland parcel collections or deliveries.
** The offer price of £7.99 covers up to 20kg in actual weight, or volumetric weight. If the dimensions of the parcel create a volumetric weight of between 20kg and 30kg then the parcel can be booked online, but the extra kg will incurr a per kg charge. If you want to check the volumetric weight of your parcel then you can use this DPD volumetric calculation;
Length (cm) x Width (cm) x Height (cm) divide by 6000 = volumetric weight KG
So parcel 100cm x 40cm x 40cm has a volumetric weight of 26kg, and is therefore under the 30kg volumetric weight maximum but over the 20kg limit for the offer price. It can still be booked online, but will be charged at a higher rate than flat rate offer.
A parcel 100cm x 50cm x 50cm has a volumetric weight of 41.6kg, and is therefore over the 30kg volumetric maximum and cannot be booked online. It can still be booked using our telephone booking line, but will be charged at a higher rate.
